I'm a first-year Ph.D. student working with Dr. Jin. I'm interested in interdisciplinary fields that combine hydraulic, biological, and ecological observations. Dr. Jin's research on precision agricuture attracts me because it addresses real-world problems and agroecosystem is an ideal base to explore my research interests. My proposed research involves modeling the response of crop yield to nitrogen fertilization and nitrogen losses to the environment, which emphasizes on two global concerns, food production and environmental pollution.
